History

           The Agonist started out as The Tempest in Montreal, Canada in 2004 with lead vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, however, they didn’t release their first album until 2007. Over the next seven years the band toured with bands, Kamelot, Alestorm, Epica, Overkill, Visions of Atlantis, and many other. The Agonist also released three albums during this time. In 2014 frontliner Alissa announced that she would be leaving the band for Arch Enemy, another Metal band that The Agonist had been touring with. She was replaced by vocalist, Vicky Psaraskis.

Who is The Agonist?

            The Tempest started in Canada with lead vocalist and founder Alissa White-Gluz, Danny Marino, and Chris Kells. They changed their name to The Agonist in 2007 when they made their first record deal with Century Media. Over the next seven years they only added on member, Simon McKay, as a drummer for the band. In 2014 the band concluded its tour with the announcement that Alissa would be leaving the band and Vicky Psarakis would be replacing her.
